We can perform the analysis on eyed embryos and we aim to deliver results within two days of receipt of samples. This service will be of great benefit to producers of triploid trout, salmon and other fish, seeking to validate their methodology and certify their product.

Xelect has been awarded funding from the Technology Strategy Board as part of its “Technology Inspired Feasibility Studies – Biosciences” scheme to develop “Automated image analysis of muscle phenotypes for genetic marker discovery in Atlantic salmon”. The project commences in August and will run for 4 months”.
